New deal for Redfern

Good to see Daniel Redfern the latest to be signed up to a three-year deal today.

As the best established of the county's young players it is ensouraging to see that he shares their opinion on the positivity emanating from the club at the moment.

 Excellent news. More later.

I think that we have got to give John Morris a lot of praise for Redfern. John gave him his debut at a very early age and stuck by him year after year despite the lack of that really big innings.

Was Redfern not given his chance by David Houghton ?

Redders was one of Dave Houghton's Academy customers.

ACD, Redfern was one of our Academy players but Morris played him in the first team almost throughout his reign despite some often 'patchy' form from the player. Morris clearly belived in Redfern and stood by him.
