Dear oh dear...the only way is up from here.
Two quick questions. Why did we not bowl out Peterson, and why did we not bowl Durston when we couldn't get a wicket?
Can't figure that. There may be legitimate answers, but we'll get no lower than this.

WE can get lower, we can finish bottom of the championship this season.
ReplyDeleteHolland were the better team, outplayed us. Their opening bowler Jonkman looked decent and Dighton played a great knock - shame none of our batsman (Rogers and Jones excepted) could have played like him...
ReplyDeleteNobody in a Derbyshire shirt, apart from Jones, put bat to ball! We seemed to bat like 200 was going to win it for us. We were always going to struggle to contain them so we needed to bowl them out and to be honest we never looked like bowling them out!

P.S. I see that Ambrose looks on his way out of Warwickshire. We could do with a keeper who can bat although I suppose we have got to give Goddard a bit longer.
